Recently I wrote a post about how I doubled my Pinterest traffic in just one month. At that point I was using basic organic growth methods which you can learn about by reading that post. But since then I’ve had even bigger results. And that’s all thanks to one specific platform which is by far the best tool for Pinterest growth.
Firstly, when we talk about Pinterest growth we’re referring to monthly views and engaged users. You can see from the image below that this figure has drastically increased since my last post a few months back.
And this growth is ultimately thanks to the platform I’m about to reveal to you. I believe this is hands down the best tool for Pinterest growth.
Ok, so what’s the best tool for Pinterest growth?
Duh duh duh…
It’s a platform called Tailwind and this has made a world of difference to my Pinterest growth strategy. Now a lot of people like to keep this platform secret and only reveal it in their paid courses. But when I find something that is making a huge impact in my results I feel my audience has a right to know.
Just before I get into the details of how this app works, let me remind you of something important. While seeing your monthly viewers grow is very cool. You need to dig deeper into those stats and make sure those viewers are actually engaging in your content. Thankfully Tailwind is great for all of this reporting as well.
What is Tailwind?
Tailwind is the best tool for Pinterest growth. It allows users to perform a range of automated tasks which enables continued growth. Even when they might not always be around. With the platform, users are able to upload and schedule content, maximise their reach through numerous features, and measure success – all in one place!
And the best bit is… Unlike other social media platforms where you can get banned for using third party apps (**cough cough Instagram**). Tailwind is totally within the rules and is actually an official partner of Pinterest. So you can go ahead and use it with peace of mind that you’re playing by the rules.
Main features of Tailwind
The Weekly Summary: This is a great feature that allows you to get a snapshot of your Pinterest progress over the last week. It shows your top performing pins, most repinned boards, new followers and new comments. This is a great way to get an overview of what’s working best so you can continue to share more of that content.
Tailwind Tribes: This has got to be my favourite feature within Tailwind. Basically it’s Tailwind’s version of a group board or community on Pinterest. The intention here, is to have users join a tribe that is relevant to their niche, so they can share similar content with one another and amplify their reach. The best part, is that there’s a tribe for just about any niche –so practically anyone can participate! It’s within Tribes that you really have the greatest potential to grow if you post regularly as more and more people will be exposed to your content. The more you share, the more you’ll have your content shared.
Publisher: This is pretty self explanatory. This is where you schedule all the posts you want to be published. And the beauty is, through Tailwind’s smart insights you can set the schedule to be based on when pins perform best on your account. You can create new posts directly within Tailwind that you want to be scheduled to be published for the first time, or you can schedule existing content from your own boards or other people’s boards.
Insights: Here you can access a range of different reports. See your profile performance and board insights to determine overall what’s working best. Or dig into the pin inspector to find out which pins are peaking. Or filter to just your website insights and see what pins from your domain are performing the best.
Other reasons to use Tailwind
Smartloop: This is a new feature which allows you to automatically repost your top evergreen or seasonal content. You set up some basic rules like which boards you want the pin to go to, how often you want them looping etc. And then anything you add to the smartloop will automatically be looped back through the queues. This helps to ensure there is always content going out on your profile even if you forget to schedule new content or are away for a long period.
Chrome Extension: This is such a handy tool and is great for when you’re browsing other sites and come across content you want to schedule. Simply install the extension and click on the Tailwind icon that appears when you hover over an image you want to schedule. Once clicked, the image and source will be pulled straight into your publisher.
Mobile App: Recently Tailwind released a mobile app and this is another great way to help you when you’re on the go and need to schedule content. You can either create new pins from your camera roll, or share existing Pinterest pins to your schedule. This ensures you don’t mess with the algorithm when you’re on those 1am pinning sprees.
Post from Instagram: This is another fairly recent feature which I love. You can link your Instagram account with Tailwind as well. And this allows you to schedule posts directly from Instagram to Pinterest. So you could set up a specific Instagram board on Pinterest where you share all your posts. And this helps to increase more traffic to your Instagram account as well.
Ready to use Tailwind?
Awesome! They actually have a free trial which you can get started on right here. And because you’re a loyal follower of mine you’ll also get credit to go towards your first month if you decide to continue using Tailwind after the trial period ends.
Happy pinning. Have you used Tailwind before? Did you find it useful for your growth as well? I’d love to know about your experiences with the platform.
And as usual, if you like what you’ve read feel free to like, comment, or share. Your time reading my posts is greatly appreciated.
