We all know how it goes. People are always saying you should stay where you are because change isn’t always necessary. Well I’m here to prove all those people wrong and show you that sometimes the grass IS greener on the other side.
So I was out for a walk this morning and I was inspired by something I’ve been thinking about for a little while. Which is that sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. I also shot a video which I’ve shared at the end of this post.
Now I was literally inspired by some patchy grass in a field of lush green grass but that’s not the real topic at hand today.
I’m here to talk about online opportunities and how sometimes people might tell you that where you’re standing is the best place. If you say you’re struggling with the product or system they’ll tell you to just stick it out and keep trying. That it will eventually work out for you.
You might tell them you’ve seen something that suits you better. Then they’ll get in your head by saying you’re just being an opportunity jumper. That if you jump systems it’s not the product that doesn’t work, it’s something you’re doing. They might even make you feel guilty about considering going elsewhere.
This is the exact talk that got in my head for so long, It made me stick at an opportunity that just wasn’t right for me and didn’t work at all.
I’m not downplaying the system because I know it has worked for a lot of people. But sometimes what’s suited to one person just isn’t suited to another. And this system was not at all suited to me.
I was working hard and I was doing what I was told but it just wasn’t working for me. I didn’t have what I needed in terms of support and systems at that particular opportunity. And I know it wasn’t just me because I’ve seen countless other people who have worked really hard and still gotten nowhere. Then they’ve moved away to other systems and had great success. So it got me wondering, if they can do it, why can’t I?
Eventually I decided to get everyone else out of my head and do what was right for me. So I made the decision to try something new. And what I’ve discovered in this system is that sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes all you need to do is take a leap of faith and do what you feel is right for you.
All the things that I was struggling with in my original opportunity were suddenly gone when I joined this new opportunity.
I went from having NO team, to having a hugely successful and motivating team.
I went from being told to use marketing strategies I didn’t really feel comfortable with, to having a step by step game-plan. Not to mention live coaching calls with 7 figure earners. Plus access to some of the greatest free social media strategy trainings around.
I went from having products I didn’t believe in, to products that I love.
I went from having to do all the work myself (including sales which is my massive weakness) to having a phone sales team that does all the hard part for me. All I have to do is introduce people to the system and the team does the rest.
For me it ended up being a no brainer to change systems.
The whole reason I got online in the first place was to meet people like me, gain more time freedom so I can travel more, and to be able to help other people achieve their dreams. And now I feel like I will actually achieve every single one of those things.
In just a few weeks of being in this team I’ve already quit my job. I’m in the process of booking a one month trip to Bali and I’ve had more success than ever before. In one week of promoting the new system I’ve already had six sign-ups (one more since I shot the video I’ve shared below). And I actually have time to focus on providing value to these team members and building genuine relationships. Why is it so different? Because I’m not caught up and stressed about having to try and upsell them.
And I have an amazing team of people that genuinely spur me on and drive me to be successful. Everyone can tell I’m happier and it’s all thanks to getting rid of the voices in my head. To choosing to believe that sometimes the grass is greener on the other side.
So that’s what I want you to think about.
To stop letting other people get inside your head and to really focus on what your strengths and weaknesses are. And figure out what will work for YOU. And if that means moving on and trying something different, then so be it. Because I’m living proof that sometimes the grass is greener on the other side.
Here’s the video I shot.
P.S. if you feel like taking a leap of faith and joining something that could be your greener grass, then take a look at this…
