Success Takes Sacrifice
Success Takes Sacrifice – Realise This
In life and business, nothing comes easily, and sometimes you will need to realise that reaching success takes sacrifice.
I wanted to share a little story of tonight’s sacrifice so you can see that it doesn’t always have to be something major, but just forgoing something little here and there can make a difference in the big scheme of things.
So we’ve arrived in Austin and set up camp – this is the first time I’ve had to set up a proper tent (opposed to one of the pop up ones I’m generally used to) so that was interesting. Lucky I’ve been paired up with a girl who knows what she’s doing so we managed to get it done without too many hiccups – the only thing I had no success with was my blow up sleeping mat. They’re meant to just inflate themselves but most of the time you need to blow in them to pump them up fully, you may know I have issues with this type of thing – I can’t blow out candles, I always fail breathalysers, and blowing up this mat was no different, which is quite strange when you think about it because I can hold my breath for a decent amount of time underwater, but anyway I’m digressing. Thankfully my tent buddy helped me out and we’re set for a lovely night.
Now the group has gone out to dinner but I’ve got another important call to be on tonight so decided to stay back at the campsite, which brought me to the topic of making sacrifices to achieve success, rather than going on about it in writing I decided to shoot a quick video to share what I mean.
Now to you this might not sound big, but to someone that wants to be liked and get involved with people (especially when travelling with them), it was a significant sacrifice. But my vision is bigger than this moment and I know success takes sacrifice so in this moment I made a decision to make a small sacrifice in order to achieve my success. This is just small proof that when you’re passionate and driven, even what might seem a small price to pay, can make a massive difference in fast-forwarding your success.
So I want to leave you with this quote…
“What appears today to be a sacrifice will prove instead to be the greatest investment that you will ever make.”
~ Gordon B. Hinckley
Have an awesome night guys.
