Masterminding In A Mansion
Masterminding is a staircase to success.
If you’ve ever read Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich, you’d have heard of the concept of masterminding. Anyone who wants to be successful in business needs to understand this concept.
Since starting my online business I’ve become especially aware of this as it’s such common practice, and here I am in Nashville at my very first mastermind, right as I’m typing this.
Day one of our masterminding session is complete, and was totally successful.
Although it wasn’t all sunshine and roses, the first part of the day was actually quite stressful for me. I managed to sleep in and catch up on a bit more lost sleep, checked out of my hotel on time, and was running perfectly on schedule.
I ordered a taxi to take me to the mansion outside of the main Nashville area and this is where things started to go a little awry.
We arrived at the house and it didn’t quite look like the images I’d seen posted in our Facebook group, but it was the right address according to all my documents so I didn’t think anything of it. The taxi driver left me and it wasn’t until he was long gone that I realised something was definitely wrong. There was no-one at the house and there were dogs inside barking at me. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone because I haven’t managed to find a local sim card yet and didn’t want to turn on my data as that will cost a fortune.
Eventually I saw a car pulling up and felt a wave of relief, until I realised it wasn’t anyone from the masterminding group. Lucky for me the lady (Christine) was lovely and made a few phone calls for me. We realised this was the house that had initially been booked but then got cancelled due to a double booking. We figured out the new address and then I had the dilemma of trying to figure out how to get there as it was 40 minutes away from where I currently was and not an area that taxis come by very often.
Thankfully someone from the mastermind offered to come collect me so all was good again. About 2 hours later I was finally where I needed to be, and we were good to go.
The correct mansion was even more incredible than the first one. The surrounding neighbourhood is full of beautiful homes, tree lined streets, and we’re right on a lake. Everything is so lush and green as well – so different to home.
We had a very productive afternoon doing some training sessions and I even got a professional video shot, which I was totally freaking out about. I managed to get it done in only three takes which I felt was a great achievement for someone totally out of their comfort zone in front of a camera.
We cooked up a lovely Italian style dinner and had a wonderful evening bonding. This is what I love, coming together and meeting people from all over the world. People who were strangers not too long ago now feel like family and it’s such an amazing community to be apart of. So excited for tomorrow.
I know this is a pretty short post, I managed to stay awake all day and it’s now midnight so I’m totally tired and ready for bed.
Goodnight and Much Love
